TECHNIQUE

So far i have not been happy with the techniques i have been experimenting with in order to fade out the boyfriend. I then had an idea that i could use sort of flashes like when you turn a classroom light on and it flickers for a bit then eventually turns on.
A bit like this, i found this on youtube, i swear you can find anything on that site, this clip is actually really good, it takes a while to get into it but it's really clever and really well shot.



The idea is that the boyfriend will start to flicker white, just every now and then to start with and eventualy the boyfriend will flicker a lot and then will be completely white. This is the best way i have found for fading out the boyfriend and is the one that i think i will use as it is by far the most effective visualy.
Here is something i put together using that technique, it should give you a good idea of what i'm going on about...




The only problem i have come across whilst using this technique is you cant make it flash and zoom in at the same time, but i'll find a way round that. If i do this right it could look really good.
